11th Anniversary...Part 2
Today was pretty relaxed. We got up and went out to find some garage sales. It seems to be our new Saturday morning activity. We didn't really find too much today. We went to a garage sale at our friend April's house, and Kim (another one of my friends) gave Jack a toy car set that he fell in love with. Thanks, Kim. You are always so sweet to Jack, and I just love you for it. We also found a pair of cowboy boots that were way to big for Jack, but we bought them anyway. I will post the pictures tomorrow, but they were hilarious!
We then went with Billy's mom, fondly referred to as Mimi, to lunch and to shop for a desk for Savannah. We found one at the new Ashley store that would work (the desk that goes with her bedroom furniture has been discontinued), but when we talked with the sales rep she said that you have to pick up the furniture in Pearl by Miskelly's. Now how insane is that? That's why we went there...so we wouldn't have to go to Pearl. Well, we decided that if we were going to have to go there, we might as well go to Miskelly's before we bought. So, we went over there and found a desk that was much nicer and really matched perfectly (except for the knobs which we can replace). So, Mimi bought Savannah a desk there. Of course, it wasn't in stock, but it should be here in three weeks, and Savannah is very excited. Thank you, Mimi!
This evening, Mimi came to babysit Jack and Savannah (and Madison who came to spend the night) while we went out. Billy had surprised me with roses and reservations at Char, which I absolutely love. I had the black fish, and it was fantastic. After that we went to Barnes and Nobles (I know it's our favorite hang-out, but I can actually sit and read something other than kids' books). We sat there forever just reading and talking about the events of our wedding day. It's funny that we both remember different things. I remember more of the sweet things, like getting three seperate deliveries from my sweetie while my braidsmaids and I were getting our hair done. He remembers the crazy, hectic things, like the photographer that everyone was ready to kill. Anyway, it was a wonderful anniversary, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
